Passport to Paris
To be completely honest, I never felt compelled to visit Paris like most people do. I know... what? It's the city of love for goodness sake! Hell-o, the macaroons! The architecture! The freakin' Eiffel Tower! I know, I know.
When in Rome
The pasta! The gelato! The ancient ruins! Buildings that are over 2,000 years old! The VATICAN! The beautiful fountains in every plaza! The markets! The cafes! The Vespas! What's not to love?
I Must Say, Marseille
Even though Marseille is France's second largest city, it gave off the perfect Mediterranean vibe. Calm, cool, collected and gorgeous. Our main focus was to get that passport, but we managed to spend a lot of time exploring around the Vieux Port (Old Port).
The Nice and not so Nice part of France
Our drive in was beautiful -- right along the beaches swarming with tourists and folks ready to soak in that hot Mediterranean sun. We dropped off our luggage at the hostel, walked around to soak up the sights and searched for some food, but our scenic backdrop quickly turned into a traveler's worst nightmare.
A Snowy Weekend in Segovia
Segovia is most famous for its cochinillo (baby suckling pig -- YUM), historic Roman aqueduct, Alcázar of Segovia (beautiful castle) and cathedral. Spain was definitely showing off with this one!
Snapshots from Toledo, Spain
Even though Toledo is known to be a bit touristy with streets lined up with souvenir vendors selling the same trinkets and tourists antsy to stock up, there's a reason it is a must-see. It's too beautiful of a place to miss out on. As the Spanish say, “Until you’ve seen Toledo, you have not seen Spain.” I couldn’t agree more.
